  • A Homily by Fr. Tom Lucas, S.J.

  • Welcome to the Parish!

If you are new to our area, or you have been away from the Church for awhile, on behalf of the entire parish community of St. Mary in Walnut Creek, I wish you a warm welcome!

Our parish is a diverse community with members from many different backgrounds and experiences. Our Elementary School and our Faith Formation Program each serves as an integral part of our life as a parish, preparing ourselves for the future and celebrating the blessings we currently share.

Through our social outreach programs, especially our food pantry sponsored by the parish and St. Vincent de Paul, we are able to reach out beyond our parish to offer assistance and support to those who are less fortunate.

Through our liturgical celebrations, we are able to enhance the prayer life of all who worship with us. We are blessed with talented choirs and musicians – especially the youth and teen choirs – who help us celebrate the Eucharist in a more contemporary style.

Through our spiritual activities, such as Eucharistic Adoration, the Charismatic Group, the Hispanic Prayer Group, and our Men’s and Women’s Scripture Groups, we are able to further our experiences of the presence of Christ among us.

We welcome you to St. Mary’s and hope you will feel the support and care of our Faith community. And the gifts you have to share with us will make us even better!

    Fr. Fred Riccio, Pastor
