Hello Encounter Families! Encounter is a high school program designed to lead 9th-12th graders into not only a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church, but with others their age. It is important, especially in the current state of the world, that the youth don’t feel like they have to believe alone. We believe that nothing is more radical than encountering God in a concrete, authentic way. Well, how do you do that in the midst of homework, navigating friendships, family dynamics, and social media pressure to be liked and loved? We need community. ENCOUNTER is designed to provide them with a community where they can create relationships with their peers that last a lifetime so that they can grow in their faith together.
Faith formation for high schoolers is grounded in the belief that we are the body of Christ that is going through high school with all that high school entails and we learn creative and dynamic ways of encountering God through questions, and reflections of our daily life. Some of the topics we cover throughout the year are peer pressure, parent relationships, trust building, relationship with Mary, and how to live in our faith day to day.
Through fun activities, small groups, catechesis and theology, and engaging conversations with other high schoolers, your teens embark on their journey to deepen their relationship with Christ. We also offer retreats, service projects, youth masses, and summer events. The goal is to bring our Catholic faith to the teens in a way that inspires them to live out the Gospel each and every day of their life.

Many Catholic colleges offer secular and religious degree programs, encouraging Catholic students of all backgrounds to stay connected with their faith. However, with over 250 Catholic colleges in the country, it can be difficult for Catholic students to narrow down their decision.
The BestColleges.org is here to help with our 2017 guide to choosing a Catholic college. In addition to connecting students with accredited Catholic colleges, this resource provides tips on what questions students should ask to find a school that fits their needs. Click on the link to explore!
