  • St. Pedro Calungsod Prayer

    "All-powerful and eternal God,
    you made San Pedro faithful in the preaching of the Gospel even to the point of shedding his blood. By his merits and intercession, grant that we may also be strong in faith to persevere until death.

    We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever."

    San Pedro Calungsod is the 2nd Filipino canonized Saint, and our intercessory Patron Saint

  • Filipino-American Ministry (FIL-AM)

    OUR MISSION

    In the Philippines, we use the word “Balikatan”, which means “shoulder to shoulder” to communicate the idea of cooperation in order to meet common goals.   The mission of the Filipino-American Ministry is to journey together in faith, adhering to the many beautiful devotions and religious traditions inherent to the Filipino culture.

    We, as part of a culturally diverse community, believe that promoting, celebrating and achieving equity, inclusion, and diversity strengthen the community and are vital to St. Mary’s mission and vision.

    The Filipino-American Ministry welcomes not only our Filipino friends but all who are interested to join our activities.   We hope you discover the joy that we share when we come together to worship God in spirit and in truth.

    Our misson is to unite in faith, community and prayer, by developing and promoting a faith-based community among Filipino-Americans, their families, extended families, friends and those who have affinity to Filipino culture, values and traditions enriched with American ideals.

    For as in one body we have many members and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another …Romans 12:4-5

    Filipino-American ministry of St. Mary Catholic Church, was formed in October 2019

  • Prayer to Saint Pedro Calungsod

    Saint Pedro Calungsod, student, cathechist, young migrant, missionary,
    faithful friend, martyr; you inspire us by your fidelity in times of adversity;
    by your courage in teaching the faith in the midst of hostility;
    and by your love in shedding your blood for the sake of the Gospel.
    Make our troubles your own (Mention your request), and intercede for us
    Before the throne of Mercy and Grace,
    So that, as we experience the help of heaven, we may be encouraged to live and
    Proclaim the Gospel here on earth.. AMEN
