Saint Pedro Calungsod, student, cathechist, young migrant, missionary, faithful friend, martyr; you inspire us by your fidelity in times of adversity; by your courage in teaching the faith in the midst of hostility; and by your love in shedding your blood for the sake of the Gospel. Make our troubles your own (Mention your request), and intercede for us Before the throne of Mercy and Grace, So that, as we experience the help of heaven, we may be encouraged to live and Proclaim the Gospel here on earth.. AMEN
Filipino-American Ministry (FIL-AM)
OUR MISSION
In the Philippines, we use the word “Balikatan”, which means “shoulder to shoulder” to communicate the idea of cooperation in order to meet common goals. The mission of the Filipino-American Ministry is to journey together in faith, adhering to the many beautiful devotions and religious traditions inherent to the Filipino culture.
We, as part of a culturally diverse community, believe that promoting, celebrating and achieving equity, inclusion, and diversity strengthen the community and are vital to St. Mary’s mission and vision.
The Filipino-American Ministry welcomes not only our Filipino friends but all who are interested to join our activities. We hope you discover the joy that we share when we come together to worship God in spirit and in truth.
Our mission is to unite in faith, community and prayer by developing and promoting a faith-based community among Filipino-Americans, their families, extended families, friends and those who have affinity to Filipino culture, values and traditions enriched with American ideals.
