Ordained on March 9, 1963, Msgr. Ted Kraus was assigned to the faculty of the Buffalo Diocesan Preparatory Seminary and in 1970 to the faculty of Wadhams Hall Seminary College, Ogdensburg, New York. Returning to Buffalo, he was appointed to several clergy formation offices. Prior to his incardination in the Diocese of Oakland in 1999, he served as campus minister at Holy Names College, as director of diaconate formation, of the Department of Faith and Ministry, and the School for Pastoral Ministry. In 1999, he was appointed parochial administrator of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Point Richmond; in 2000, pastor of Santa Maria Church, Orinda, until retirement on June 1, 2013. Msgr. Ted is in residence at St Mary Church.
