*CONGRATULATIONS Larry Sanchez!!
Larry was awarded the Rosalie Rendu Zeal for the Poor award this month by the Contra Costa St. Vincent de Paul Council. He was nominated by member Sheila Torres.
*We continue to partner with St. Anne church in Rossmoor. We have several regular volunteers who work at the food pantry and serve as officers in our conference from St. Anne. St. Anne has a donation basket which they fill with food every week and deliver to the pantry and we also received over $1,700 in gift cards to share with our neighbors in need.
St. Vincent de Paul
The vocation of the Society’s members is to follow Christ through service to those in need and so bear witness to His compassionate and liberating love. Members show their commitment through person-to-person contact. Join us in this humbling and rewarding ministry. All are welcomed.

*Over the past 3 months we have served 653 neighbors (representing 1,962 family members) in need at the food pantry, with 2,190 bags of groceries.
*Our main focus is lending a hand to our neighbors in need through the food pantry, but we have also helped with medical expenses, car registration, emergency hotel room, and rental assistance over the last several months.
We are grateful for the continued support from St. Mary parishioners. The donation basket in the church vestibule is available for non-perishable food or personal hygiene items. Want to be more involved? Our most recent volunteers range from teens doing community service to the newly retired. Everyone is welcome!
